Arezzo Antique Market
Every first Sunday of the month (and the Saturday before), the historic center of Arezzo transforms into a true paradise for lovers of antiques, brocante, and vintage. During the famous Fiera Antiquaria di Arezzo – Italy’s largest and oldest antique market – thousands of visitors browse hundreds of stalls filled with extraordinary finds.
From elegant furniture and antique paintings to vintage jewelry, books, ceramics, and unique decorations: you will discover something special around every corner. The market winds through the atmospheric medieval streets and across the city’s beautiful squares, including the iconic Piazza Grande. The combination of history, atmosphere, and unique objects makes this an unforgettable experience. |
The beauty of bygone times
Programme
We will visit a local artisan restorer of antique furniture. There, you can see how restorations are carried out using traditional techniques and feel the passion for the craft. It is remarkable to see how nothing is thrown away and materials are reused time and again.
On Saturday and Sunday, you can browse the famous antique market in search of unique finds and hidden treasures. We will have a meet & greet with a number of local artisans, or 'artigiani', in their exhibition space, where you can ask them about the tricks of the trade. We will also visit a goldsmith, as Arezzo is known as Città dell’Oro – the city of gold. Here, it is even possible to attend a goldsmithing workshop where you can create your own piece of jewelry. And of course, culinary delights are not to be missed, because in Tuscany, everything revolves around la dolce vita. We will visit a winery with a tasting and enjoy a delicious Tuscan dinner every evening. |
