What makes this painting course in Tuscany special?

• Painting in fantastic locations: Tuscany offers an abundance of inspiring places to paint. From rolling hills and cypress avenues to picturesque villages and historic cities - each location will stimulate your artistic senses.
  
• Various painting techniques: Experiment with different materials such as pencil, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic paint. Discover which technique suits you best and develop your own style.
  
• "Learning on the job": No rigid school system, but plenty of room for personal freedom. You will receive an assignment every day, but you determine your own material and subject.
  
• Small groups: Paint in an intimate setting with personal attention from Peet. This way you get the most out of your learning experience.

Peet Wessels is an experienced artist with a passion for painting and sharing her knowledge. With 25 years of experience in teaching painting lessons and workshops, she has built a reputation as an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher.
Peet believes in a personal and relaxed approach to teaching. She avoids a rigid school system and gives her students the freedom to follow their own creative path. Her motto "learning on the job" reflects her belief that the best way to learn is by doing.

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced painter, Peet's expertise and guidance will help you develop your skills and discover your artistic potential. Her painting workshops are not only educational, but also a fun and inspiring experience.

The accommodation

During this painting holiday, we will stay at the remarkable Certosa di Pontignano, a centuries-old former monastery nestled in the hills of Chianti, just outside Siena. The historic cloisters, atmospheric gardens and stunning views across the Tuscan countryside provide an inspiring setting in which to paint. We will stay in the charming rooms of the Certosa and enjoy the flavours of Tuscan cuisine in its restaurant.

Transport

You can come with your own car or by plane in combination with a rental car on site. The nearest airports are Pisa and Florence. For the day programme, participants use their own (or their rental) car.

Yesterday I was sitting on a terrace with a friend, enjoying an Aperol Spritz, and I told her about Tuscany, the most beautiful region in Italy. And that Triptoscana doesn't sell a trip, but an experience!!
And it was amazing!!! Truly top-notch. I thought it was fantastic; I enjoyed everything..!! The accommodation, the excursions, the varied surroundings, the restaurants—really absolutely fine! Through my videos on Instagram (bijlsam_artist), my friend experienced exactly what I experienced. The tranquility it exudes and how wonderful it is to paint outdoors. I also thought Peet was super sweet; she helped me exceptionally well with the things I was struggling with, thanks to her honest, expert explanations! My friend wants to experience this trip / experience next year too, so if I go, she's coming along.

Unforgettable painting holiday in Tuscany!

What a wonderful experience the Triptoscana painting holiday was! The painting sessions were held under the expert guidance of artist Peet Wessels. With her knowledge and enthusiasm, she managed to create an educational and warm atmosphere within an international group of 11 people. Top-notch guidance by Vincent and Osvaldo, who had an eye for everyone and ensured perfect organization. The historic estate served as an open-air studio. Painting amidst rolling vineyards and olive trees. The atmospheric rooms, lovely swimming pools, and authentic food were perfect. Highlights included the daily excursions to Renaissance towns such as Pienza and Montepulciano. Walking and painting in these historic towns, and perfectly rounded off with a tasting in the cellars of the famous Ricci winery.
We went home with a suitcase full of wonderful memories and a renewed dose of creative inspiration. Highly recommended!
