Il Cerreto
This agriturismo is different from the others on our list. A stately country house, completely white with a tower from the year 1700. On a hill along the river Cecina. The sustainable approach the owners have to tourism and life in general makes it a very special place. Il Cerreto is fully organic. They produce cheese cereals, pasta, vegetables and flour.
In the main building are seven holiday apartments. They are spacious, with simple modern decor, lots of light and almost all of them have a fantastic view. In the adjacent building are several double rooms with private bathroom, simple but with all the comforts and two luxurious suites. The rooms have been renovated with responsible natural materials.
There is all around a large garden with a beautiful natural swimming pool. This is very nice because there is no chlorine or salt being used. So good for your skin! In the garden you have a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and Volterra. There is a restaurant where, besides the traditional cuisine, they realy know how to cook vegetarian and vegan dishes. All 100% organic.
