A gem! The location makes this agriturismo really special. Podere San Lorenzo is a place with a very fine energy, developed over the centuries around a small Franciscan chapel from the early 13th century.
Marinella runs with her husband the agriturismo. Marinella is very welcoming and committed to her guests. Here they produce superior quality olive oil. Upon request Marinella organises cooking classes where you learn the secrets of Tuscan cuisine. These courses take place in the old chapel and are a huge success. All ingredients are fresh from their own huge vegetable garden.
Podere San Lorenzo has a natural swimming pond, so you can swim in water without chemicals. The swimming pond is nicely integrated into the garden, surrounded by olive trees. Marinella is very adept with nature resulting in a beautiful green lush garden surrounding the house.
There are five apartments and two B&B-rooms based. All apartments have a private terrace and all but one have fantastic views over the surrounding area. The furnishings are simple Tuscan, comfortable and cared for.
The place is ideal for families, couples, peace-seekers and hikers. Podere San Lorenzo is 5 minutes from Volterra, easily accessible and centrally located. Therefore also suitable for trips to the famous cities in the area such as San Gimignano, Florence, Siena and Pisa.
